First legal cannabis in NRW: A milestone for social clubs – The time has finally come: North Rhine-Westphalia now has the first cannabis social club or growers’ association that distributes legal cannabis to its members. First day: nervousness and anticipation

Not far from the state capital Düsseldorf and the metropolis of Cologne, a large crowd is forming, why? People are waiting for the first legal cannabis in NRW.

Sidney, one of the club members, could hardly wait to collect his legal cannabis. After years of relying on the black market, going to the club is something special for him. He sets off early in the morning to be one of the first. “I was nervous and excited,” says Sidney after picking up his monthly quota. You can imagine how excited he is to finally have legal cannabis in his hands.

Strict requirements: safety comes first

The “Joints Venture” association is the first cannabis club in North Rhine-Westphalia to launch in Bielefeld and must comply with strict regulations. According to board member Robert Mehring, the security precautions are extensive: safes that weigh over a ton and secure transport routes are just some of the measures taken to meet the legal requirements. For you, this means that the club operates in an absolutely legal and responsible manner.

Growmaster in use

The club’s success is also thanks to the work of Robert Mehring, the club’s “growmaster”. He takes care of everything – from planting the cuttings to flowering, harvesting and drying. Only two months after planting, the first harvest could be given out. As you can see, the work here is professional and efficient.

How does the collection process work?

On the opening day, the club opens its doors at 12:00 noon. Only members who can show their NFC chip and ID will receive their portion. The utmost importance is attached to discretion when handing over the food – even filming is not permitted. Members are given a fixed amount per month to take home with them.

“Green Christmas” in prospect

The club expects the next harvest in just a few weeks. This means that many members could get supplies in time for Christmas. A real reason to be happy, right?
