420 Day Berlin: The #2 legal holiday in Germany - Brandenburg Gate

The time has come! On April 20, 2025, Berlin will once again celebrate “420 Day” – the unofficial holiday of the global cannabis community. The event traditionally takes place at the Brandenburg Gate and attracts thousands of people every year. Between 2 and 9 p.m., consumers, activists and interested parties gather to set an example for the legalization and destigmatization of cannabis. In addition to the political message, the event is also about community, culture and education.

420 Day 2025: What to expect in Berlin
The programme offers live music, speeches by cannabis activists, information stands from associations and organizations as well as food trucks and creative activities. Many participants wear green outfits, flags or accessories with cannabis motifs. There is a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere – and despite consumption in public, the event generally remains calm and conflict-free.

More than just an event: education and community
