Strain Züchter Shantibaba

The strain was first bred in 1994 by Shantibaba, then co-founder of Green House Seeds. A true cannabis legend. White Widow, Super Silver Haze or Critical Mass are some of the strains that would not exist without it.

Shantibaba later took the strain with him when he left Green House Seeds and bred similar strains under his new label, Mr. Nice Seeds. White Widow won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1995, which brought her worldwide fame. The name White Widow comes from the extremely resinous coating of the flowers – they are often so heavily coated with trichomes that they look almost white.
