Switzerland Medical only

Recreational cannabis is illegal, but since August 2022 any licensed doctor can prescribe medical cannabis, filled at ordinary pharmacies. Small city-run adult-use pilots exist (Zurich, Basel, Bern) but only for enrolled local residents.

Medical program
Prescribing was deregulated in August 2022 — no special exemption needed. Insurance reimbursement is still case-by-case.
Traveling with medical cannabis
No official Swiss statement found for foreign patients. Switzerland is in Schengen, so the Article 75 certificate framework should apply in principle, but this is not confirmed by a Swiss source.
Information for general guidance only, not legal advice. Laws change — verify with official sources before traveling.
