Greece Medical only
IMPORTANT: Greece explicitly does NOT recognize foreign medical cannabis prescriptions. Importing cannabis — even with valid documentation from your home country — is prohibited. Recreational use is fully illegal.
Medical program
Access is only via a Greek-licensed physician issuing a local prescription (~30 days validity, e-prescription system since Feb 2024). A visiting patient cannot use a foreign prescription.
Traveling with medical cannabis
Do NOT bring prescribed medical cannabis into Greece under any circumstances. There is no "bring your own" pathway — see a Greek doctor locally if genuinely needed.
