Devin is the classic nerd with top grades, zero experience and Ivy League dreams. Mac is a perpetual stoner who has been stuck in high school for over a decade – but knows exactly how to enjoy life. When the two are forced to do a school project together, two worlds collide. With the help of weed, music and some very strange side characters, Devin learns to take life easy – and Mac learns that graduating might not be pointless after all.

Snoop Dogg plays as we know him – cool, chilled, constantly stoned and yet somehow wise. Wiz Khalifa embodies the shy nerd who finds himself through the influence of Mac. The soundtrack is at least as important as the plot – with tracks like “Young, Wild & Free”, the film quickly became a cult object among cannabis users. Much of the dialog also feels more like rap skits and less like a classic screenplay – which suits the vibe well.
